Heartsaver First Aid
The Heartsaver First Aid Course is an approximately 7 1/2 hour course. It can also be taught without Infant CPR in about 6 1/2 hours or as First Aid only in about 3 1/2 hours. It is for those who have a duty to respond to a first aid or cardiac emergency because of job responsibilities or regulatory requirements. It teaches how to manage illness and injuries in the first few minutes until professional help arrives. Course content includes General Principles, Medical Emergencies, and Injury Emergencies. Optional topics include CPR and AED, and Environmental Emergencies. It also covers the use of barrier devices for all ages and a pocket mask is given to each particpant to use during the class to keep.
