The Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers Course is an approximately 4 1/2 hour course. It is intended for healthcare providers such as EMS personnel, physicans assistants, doctors, dentists, nurses and respiratory therapists who must have a credential (card) documenting successful completion of a CPR course. It covers core material such as adult and pediatric CPR (including two-rescuer scenarios and use of bag-valve mask) foreign-body airway obstruction, and automated external defibrilation. Cost of the course is $45.00 and includes all needed materials.

Basic Life Support (BLS) For Healthcare Providers Online Part 1

(EM90-1403; $19.95)

Can be used for initial or renewal certification! Ideal for professionals who prefer learning on a self-directed, self-paced basis rather than in instructor-led training sessions. Course participants who successfully complete Part 1 receive a certificate granting them entrance to a skills practice session (Part 2) and skills test (Part 3) with a certified American Heart Association instructor, which they must pass to qualify for a BLS for Healthcare Providers course card.
